Frequently Asked Questions
At Luna Vaida, we view massage as more than relaxation. To us, massage is a tool for nervous system regulation, body awareness, and long-term wellbeing. We take time to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, combining therapeutic touch with mindful guidance to help you heal, restore balance, and prevent recurring tension.
All bookings are done online through our scheduling page. You can view availability, select your preferred service, therapist and secure your appointment in just a few clicks.
We offer a range of bodywork including therapeutic, deep tissue, relaxation, prenatal, cupping, lymphatic drainage and Acudetox Acupunture. Each treatment is customized. We don’t follow a routine, we follow what your body needs that day. Please see our scheduling page for a full list of services, duration and their costs.
Come as you are, no special preparation is needed. We recommend drinking water before and after your appointment, wearing comfortable clothing, and arriving a few minutes early to settle in.
At the start of your visit, you’ll have time for an intake conversation with your therapist to discuss how you’re feeling, your goals, and any areas of concern. After that, you’ll have privacy to disrobe down to your comfort level. Most clients remove all clothing except for lower undergarments before covering themselves with the linens on the table, but if leaving more clothing on helps you feel comfortable, that’s absolutely fine — we can adjust the work around anything.
We also recommend removing loose jewelry before your session. Your therapist will always give you plenty of time for disrobing and will knock before re-entering the room to ensure your comfort and privacy.
That’s completely up to you. Some clients like to chat, others prefer silence or intentional breath work. We’ll always check in to ensure you’re comfortable and you’re welcome to communicate your needs at any time.
It depends on your goals. For chronic pain or high stress, weekly or bi-weekly sessions can create real progress. For maintenance and prevention, once a month often keeps your body balanced and your nervous system supported. We can help you find a rhythm that fits your lifestyle.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged a fee, as that time is reserved especially for you.
